Liberty Hill, May 10, 2023

After almost a month of not hiking (major disappointment) I went out for a short hike today. It turns out the injury was plantar fasciitis in my left heel; and there is still some pain, but I could NOT sit around any longer, so I did about a mile today. Liberty Hill is in jeopardy of being taken over by a company that wants to make the area into a quarry which would decimate the Camas and all the other wild plants growing there. Fields of common camas and great camas and rosy plectritis and monkeyflower and shooting stars. And small patches of popcorn flower, buttercups, and a few death camas.
