The Labyrinth, March 2, 2023

I love the springtime!!! The wildflowers are just beginning to pop out and there is hope in the air. Well, at least for me. The Labyrinth is part of a trail system, part of the Coyote Wall, Syncline, Little Maui, Labyrinth system of trails east of Bingen on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge. Lots of oak trees, a few scattered pines and shrubs beginning to bud out. I hiked up the trail, all uphill, going along Labyrinth Creek then the trail drifts away as it continues through the rocky terrain. Five flowers were out and it rained off and on, so I wasn’t able to get shots of all of them. Two are below and the other three are: Whtilow grass, desert parsley and prairie star.
