Lookout Mountain, Oregon, October 23, 2022
At 6535 feet high, this hike offers a great view to the other mountains of Oregon and north into Washington. Although this day was a little overcast, on other hikes we have been able to see the Three Sisters, Mt Jefferson, Mt Washington, Mt Bachelor and Broken Top to the south and Mt Adams and Mt Rainier to the north. This day, there was about 4 inches of snow on the ground and larger drifts along the trail. This hike takes you to the edge of some pretty steep rock cliffs, looking down to Badger Lake.
